Medical Records Renovation, Oakland, CA

Asian Health Services is a non-profit health care center located in Oakland's chinatown district. The renovation and expansion of the medical records office will double the facility's records storage capacity. New charting stations have been added as well as an increase in the number of computer stations.

To complete the renovation several changes to the existing spaces were made. The existing wood floor structure was strengthened to carry the load of the new high-density filing system. Partition and ceiling changes were designed to meet the needs of the new space as well as function with the existing structural and mechanical systems. Custom casework was designed for the new charting stations, work counters, and shelving to provide maximum use for the records department.
