Gerald Lee, Remembered

LDA mourns the loss of Gerald Lee, one of the founding partners of LDA Architects. Jerry was an inspiration to all of us at LDA and his legacy will live on through the firm and those he touched.

The SFGH Learning Center Under Construction

The Learning Center simulation and training center at SFGH has started construction. This fast-paced project is scheduled to be completed in March 2012.

Alameda Boys and Girls Club Complete

Upon it's opening the new Boys & Girls Club has been applauded as a huge success for the Club, the City of Alameda, and the neighborhoods and children that it will serve. We are very proud to have helped the Club achieve their goals. See the ABGC page for final project photos.

Alameda Boys and Girls Club Nearing Completion

The construction of the Boys and Girls Club of Alameda is nearly complete. Substantial completion was achieved in December and the Club is starting their move-in process. The new facility has been applauded as a huge success for the Club, the City of Alameda, and the neighborhoods and children that it will serve. Douglas Shortes named Associate Pricipal

We are very pleased to announce the promotion of Doug Shortes to Associate Principal. Doug has been with LDA for seven years, bringing an attention to detail that maintains the high quality of work released by the firm. He will continue to oversee LDA projects at all phases while providing mentorship in all technical and quality control aspects of the firm's production. We look forward to Doug's continued success with LDA.

AckerleyLDA specializes in providing planning, design, and interior architecture services for the health care industry, which includes hospitals, biotech clean facilities, medical office buildings, nursing homes, and special care facilities.

San Francisco General Hospital Contract
- November 2009

LDA Architects (as part of AckerleyLDA) wins 3-year contract with San Francisco General Hospital to provide on-going planning and design services for the hospital facility. AckerleyLDA will be responsible for providing sustainable interior and exterior design and field inspection services pursuant to the terms of the three-year, $1 million contract
